South America 1

The following images were taken whilst on a two month South American overland trip with Dragoman in 1998. The trip started in Quito, Ecuador. From here we made for Banos and then crossed the border in to Peru, heading for the coast. We visited the Moche ruins at Chan Chan and continued on to the cities of Lima and Arequipa. After overlanding through the high Andes we took a flight over the Nazca Lines in the desert. The highlight of the trip however was the four day Inca trail which culminated at Machu Picchu. Crossing the high Altiplano we visited Lake Titicaca and the Uros Islands before entering Bolivia and ending this first section of the trip in the capital La Paz. The photographs were taken using a Canon EOS 1N SLR camera and Fuji Sensia slide film (various speeds).
