The following images were taken in Syria and Lebanon whilst on a four week Middle East overland expedition with Kumuka in December 2007 and January 2008. Highlights in Syria included the Roman ruins at Palmyra and the 12th century Crusader castle ‘Crac des Chevaliers’. During a one day visit to Lebanon, we spent some time at Baalbek, arguably the most impressive Roman site in the Middle East.
